Hello! Thank you for stopping by our site. If you are a rockhound, you will love Mariposite rock. The colors are bright green and white with white quartz veins. Mariposite is a gold bearing rock and you will find veins and spots of either gold or pyrite in our rocks. Mariposite is also great for lapidary jewelry making, polishing slabbing and much more. The boulders we produce are unique and rare.We are a small family run quarry producing Mariposite rock. George uses his John Deere 710 backhoe and rockbreaker to size the stones from 3 pounds to 3 tons and more. The baskets we produce are headsize stones and weigh about 1 1/2 ton. Each boulder is unique and the bright green and white colors enhance a landscape beautifully.
